Cub Scout joys!!!

Mike had a blast this year at his pinewood derby. He wanted to earn a trophy, but there were some pretty fast cars this year. It is great though to see all the different kinds and how they were each colored and designed. On his next birthday he will advance to the next den, Weblos. So we have been working like mad to get all of his requirements done. Great job Mike!!

As I drove to the school... I could hear this song in the back of my mind..... "I WILL SURVIVE". That is how I feel, I survived the summer. It was great. We were able to go see our old friends in Wyoming for the 4th of July. Then we spent a week with my parents in Vernal. David worked on the basement every chance he got. But we survived. The kids were super ready to go back to school. Andrew left before I could take his picture for the first day. But next year he'll be a senior. Look out world.... here comes Andrew. Natalee is in 8th grade. Michelle is in 6th grade and Michael is in 4th grade. They built a new elementary school here, but we were not in the boundary for it so the kids are going to their "old" school. But I was happy with the teachers

First Day of skool!!!

Pink Popcorn Popping!!

Ever since our cherry trees have blossomed I have been wanting to snap a picture to post... but then it would snow... or rain... and then the wind came. So today while I have Melda's camera I got the pic I wanted. This is our house in the spring. I know... I am still working on the flower bed. But I love the "Pink Popcorn" on our little cherry trees.... and doesn't the grass look green! Hopefully it will last through the summer and the drought doesn't continue. Notice there is still snow in the mountains. Brrrr.

Camera Trouble..... again

I don't believe our luck.... or un-luck! David bought me a nice camera (so I can blog) and now it doesn't work. Natalee received a really nice camera for Christmas, and guess what? You got it... she dropped it and now it doesn't work. Michelle had one to and it would add a pink tint to all the pictures. But now.... guess what? Right again!!! Hers doesn't work either. So I had to borrow Maw Maw's to get these pictures of Andrew's room. Now I have the camera blue's!! hee hee

Old Maid

I remember playing that old card game "Old Maid" as a child and thinking... I'll never be an old maid. Well .... here I am. I have been "Spring Cleaning" for over two weeks now. Of course to give myself a little credit, I figured if I was going to clean all the walls I might as well paint them as I go!! So say a little prayer for this old maid.... that I'll get this done before I really go old. But the house does look good!! Slowly but surely....

Out of All the Fish in the See!!

Today is a monumental moment that I wanted to share. Andrew was asked to his first Sadie's Hawkins Dance. And did she do a number in his room..... it was great!!! The girl that asked him her name in Cynthia. Andrew said he doesn't know her but Andrew's good friend Kenya does so they all going together. Well, she sprinkled confetti all over. I am not sure that the pictures do it justice. Then she hung streamers all over and then she filled 28 cups each with one goldfish in them... and had them set all over his floor. Her note said, "Out of all the fish in the see, would you go to Sadie's with me?" Cute hugh?!? Even the spelling.... and to think they are in High School... in America!! haha.... Oh... remember your first Sadie's Dance?
